Recession. But is it a good time to invest?

Updated: Apr 11, 2021

Recession. It's a word that often frightens people, however does it have to be so scary?

First things first, we're not saying a recession is guaranteed to be on the horizon; however if you look at market trends and speak to financial experts it certainly looks that way -

but why not try turn such a negative word into a positive?

Although house prices going down, is mostly a massive disadvantage to home owners and landlords, but it leaves a massive opportunity for investors, keeping properties for the long term and acquiring lease options is definitely the way to go to really take advantage of the recession.

House prices are due to drop from anywhere from 15% to 20% (depending on the area), this means we can negotiate purchase prices considerably lower than usual due to the circumstances (BIG +++ FOR AN INVESTOR).

The property market will fluctuate but house prices will always generally rise throughout time, taking on a property now would mean you negotiate the property considerable below market value than and then benefit from around 3% capital growth every year, it is the perfect scenario to be investing right now!.

A key fact for you - Throughout the lockdown period £82 billion worth of properties have been put on hold or have fallen through, this leaves another massive opportunity for you to be taking advantage of that, the landlords will be frustrated and will want rid!

Lease options in our opinion are the best option at the moment, due to them been little money in and you can always benefit from the capital growth from the property but not putting much money down in the first place, as well as getting a decent monthly income every month throughout that term!.

Landlords are more open to explore the route of lease options due to the current market and what is predicted to happen, they will be happy having some security and knowing exactly what they are going to be achieving for their property. Now is the perfect time to invest, it is time to take advantage of the current climate!
